Room 101The Porth Hotel, Llandysul SA44 4QS The association has 30 miles of salmon, trout and sea trout fishing on the
River Teifi from Newcastle Emlyn through Llandysul, Llanybydder and Lampeter to Llanfair
Clygodau near Tregaron. Altogether there are 22 separate beats providing salmon, trout and
sea trout (sewin) fishing on the most scenic and productive river in Wales. Each beat is
described, with maps, aerial photographs and close-up pictures on the associations
comprehensive web site, where car parking,
access and other key features are illustrated.

The association has 22 miles of the upper river, which offers some of the best trout
fishing on the Teifi as well as the chance of salmon and some sea trout. Tregaron A C has
beats near Lampeter, Llandewi, Tregaron and Pontrhydfendigaid, along with lakes abounding

County Gate's half a mile of private fishing includes the famous
Horse Pool and Sheep Pool as well as several good fly fishing

Approx. 3/4 mile, mainly single-bank and some double-bank fishing at Pentrecagal,
including a highly productive salmon pool towards the top of the beat and some nice sea
trout pools suitable for night fishing. (Chest waders are recommended in order to cover
the lies on some of the deeper stretches.) This private fishery has four self-catering

Approx. 1/2 mile of fishing between Pentrecagal and Pentre Cwrt. This private fishery
offers exceptional early season sea-trout fishing. (Best sea trout in recent years weighed

| Cross Hand Angling Association |

The association controls a picturesque 13/4 mile stretch of the right bank of the
Teifi below the old mill at Pentre Cwrt, some three miles downstream of Llandysul. At the
top of this beat, the river runs through a narrow, rocky gorge. At this point, the access
is steep and care is needed; the wading is equally demanding and not to be recommended
during high flows. (No day tickets issued for this beat.) |

The association has approx. 20 miles of fishing on the lower Teifi from Pentrecagal
through Newcastle Emlyn to Abercych. The club also has a rented stretch of the right bank
just above the tide at Llechryd and another stretch near Henllan. Members also have access
to fishing on a mile of the right bank of the River Cych and over a mile of double-bank
fishing on the River Ceri, another Teifi tributary. ST, J-ST, Student-ST, OAP-ST,

below Cenarth. The fishing includes two very deep pools as well as a short stretch of good
