Cefn-bryn fishery (Beat 5) |
|||||||||||||
|
Near the top of this beat, shallow, weedy runs provide good trout habitat. The banks are clear, making this an ideal spot for anyone learning to fish with the fly.
Deep pools in the middle of the beat are interspersed with swift glides where summer and autumn sewin can sometimes be taken in daytime.
Several of the pools are very deep and only fishable from the bank. Statistics Access and parking
The fishing can be accessed via a path from the A485 Cwmann to Llanybydder road, near the farmhouse of Cefn-bryn. The club has its own private car park near the access gate to this fishery. Please do not park in front of the farm gate. Beat limits
The upper beat limit adjoins Llandysul A A's Lampeter fishery on the left bank of the river near to Llwyn-on. The lower beat limit, some 200 yards downstream of a point where the river runs close to the old railway track, is marked with an orange sign. There the river is deep and slow, and wading is not recommended. |
