Cellan fishery (Beat 2) |
At Cellan we have a very good trout fishing beat. Mature trees shade the river in many places, and there are stretches where the river races swiftly, making dry fly fishing challenging but often rewarding.
Here at Cellan, you are in Kite's Country. That was the name of a TV programme in the 1960s, when the late Oliver Kite used to show viewers how to catch wild brown trout. The Teifi was his favourite venue for fishing during the March Brown hatch. Statistics Access and parking
This beat is accessed from the B4343 Cwmann to Llanfair Clydogau road a quarter of a mile upstream of the Church at Cellan. Other parking places are available on the lane; please do not block farm gates. Permission is needed from the owner before parking by the house adjacent to this fishery. Beat limits Rules |
