Trout fishing on the Teifi at Rallt
Trout fishing on a gentle glide at Rallt

At Rallt the River Teifi is swift and fairly shallow with ranunculus beds along most of the beat. This makes for ideal trout habitat, and it is as a trout fishery that this beat is most valued.

In late season it is worth trying some of the deeper shaded pools for sewin and grilse in the evening.

In many places the banks are tree lined; however, over much of the beat thigh waders will allow you to reach most lies.
