Who cares?
It's not just Countryside Council for Wales and Environment Agency Wales who protect the wildlife of Wales and restore damaged or threatened habitats. Many voluntary organisations, including anglers, do a great deal of valuable work to maintain and improve the water environment. In this they frequently work in partnership with the  Environment Agency Wales, other public bodies and, increasingly, industrial sponsors. See, for example, some of the habitat improvement work carried out by Llandysul Angling Association and its Young Conservationists partnership as part of its summer programme of opportunities for young people.

  • These partnership initiatives:
help us to understand what kinds and levels of pressure on the environment are sustainable.
  • Provide opportunities for young people to learn more about the environment they are inheriting and to appreciate their responsibility to future generations
