Please note that the latest catch results from our fisheries are published in our newsletter, Current Affairs. Copies are available on request (please enclose an A5 or larger SAE) from Llandysul A A, Room 101, The Porth Hotel, Llandysul SA44 4QS.

The River Teifi was the top sea trout river in 2003 and again in 2004,
beating every other river in England and Wales by a very substantial
margin. In 2005 and 2006 the Teifi was just pipped for first place by its neighbouring river the Towy.
Trout
fishing in mid summer is generally best in the evenings but, as is to be expected,
more difficult during the heat of the day. Sedge flies and terrestrials
(daddy long-legs, black gnats and beetles) are the main food sources
during the day from August to the end of September.
Detailed catch results for for all major rivers in
Wales:
The historical catch data on this page comes from the Environment Agency and is provided for interest only and is therefore not updated regularly. For details of catches on all rivers in England and Wales please see www.environment-agency.gov.uk/fish Catch statistics are published by the Environment Agency. To avoid duplication on the Web only a typical year's results are
recorded below; they apply for 1999, which was a good but not exceptional
year for the Teifi:
